The outdoor season is coming fast and we need at least a dozen more people to help fill these two-hour shifts so we can keep this vital market going safely and efficiently! Now that Gov. DeWine has lifted the stay at home order many Kent businesses are reopening. We have maintained our Drive-Through market for the month of May to ensure safety, but as the season goes on our product diversity becomes too wide to manage as a drive-through.
We are working closely with the Kent Health Department and the City of Kent to move to our usual location downtown beginning June 6 as a modified distanced walk-up market. We will have two entrances/exits and will closely manage customer capacity and have a new set of rules to maintain social distance and sanitation.
Our local food chain is more important now than ever before and we need our community's support as customers and as volunteers to help us continue to bring fresh, local, safe food to as many tables as possible during this challenging time.
We need to build a pool of people who can help us with admissions and traffic flow within the market - The Social Distance Squad - with 13 people needed every Saturday. We're breaking the schedule up into 2-hour chunks:
Setup Team 7:30-9am
Welcome Team 9-11am
Welcome Team 11am -1pm
Social D Squad 9-11am
Social D Squad 11am-1pm
Clean-Up Crew 1-2pm
